I have a Personal Oracle8 database running on a 95-platform
On another 95PC I want to connect to the database using net8-client.
I suppose I'll have to do it with the easy config for NET8client.
How can I make this connection on a Microsoft Network. ?

thanks Nils

   You need to:
1.configure SQL Net Easy Config on the client machine (computer from which you want to connect) You will enter database name and IP adress of the server that database running on (see 2).
2. IP address of the server (computer you are connecting to) ----> you canget it by:
                    MS dos: C:> ping server_name
3. On the server you need to have TNSListener Running (Refer to documentation with your release of Oracle Server)
