Adding Fonts on the Server Side

There are plenty of fonts out there for Windows, but how about the Unix (HP-UX v 11 in particular) server side?

We are particularly interested in bar codes (postal service et al) and OMR.

Is there any way to move a font from Windows to the server so that we can use it with PostScript or ,pdf output with Reports 2.5 or 3.0?
