Hello Anne_Marie,

Did you get any insightful responses? The agents are a nightmare; I'm having similar problems. I'm trying to startup a listener and dbsnmp for my Sun Solaris 2.5 with a Oracle 7.3.4.0.1.

I'm just getting errors when I start up the agents. I agree, the Oracle documentation is a joke. I have the same questions as you.

If you now have some answers, I'd love to here them. If I get anywhere, I'll let you know.
