Basically it should at least include $ORACLE_HOME/lib to find the
libclntsh.sl. Somewhere in the make file there may be parameters like
"-Wl,s". This combination of params indicates SHLIB_PATH should be searched in
order to find shared libaries.
Also try the 'chatr' command to find out the search path being used by your
executable.
