HiYa

I am interested to know why in the manual about referencing fields in a procedure it says:

if you are referencing the name of a form, block, or field, enclose the object in single quotes. Do not prefix the object with a colon:

[Quoted] and then gives the example of to navigate to a field

GO_FIELD('EMPNO'); but in my experience of things I have to use :blockname.fieldname

IE

PR_SF00_APPEND_CENTURY ( :MAIN.PYMNT_RCVD_DATE ); I've always wondered about this.

Thanks

See Ya
(when bandwidth gets better ;-)
