Try checking the Toolkit installation for common GUI files. It seems that you might be running Motif or Xwd that does not correspond to the current Xserver/X Emulation software that is on your client machine.

What Xserver software are you using. And what X engine Motif, Xvw or other are you using.

Try and get them coordinated. Also I noticed that this error usually disappears after installing the right X libraries.

The message usually originates at the server. One way to check this is to start a shell and setting the DISPLAY env var and pushing the server manager on to the PC window Then any error messages will come up on the server if they are actually server based rather than client based.

One way to check if Resolution is a problem is to run other X programs like Xedit etc ... and check them out.

Then again maybe I do not know what I am talking about ;-)
