Hi Dave,

I totally agree with the second user. I have used Designer/2000 almost all of my time as an Oracle developer and am extremely fond of it. Especially using it for 100% generation. This way you store all your information in the Designer Repository and it is much easier to maintain your application, because you have all your logic in one place. 100% generation can be accomplished by using a template, like Headstart/2000 from Oracle which was developed in the Netherlands and with which I have good experiences. But there are other templates as well, like Guidelines2000 by UCC.

Disadvantage of Designer/2000 is that it takes longer to learn. If you work with a team of very experienced Developer/2000 developers and if they are reluctant to change their habits, it will take a lot of time to develop your product. But if you make a dedicated decision for a CASE tool which stores all your information in one place and which makes maintenance and upgrading or web-enabling much easier , Designer/2000 is your tool!
