[Quoted] I am planning an Oracle application and I need some real world advice on which tool is best to get the job done. The app we are developing needs to run on character terminals connected to a Solaris server. It seems there are two (and possibly more) options available: 1. Developer 2000 and 2. C/C++ with precompiler and screen i/o library. I know option 2 will work but I would like a more RAD oriented environment. Has anyone used D2K to create applications for character mode? If so, what are the limitations? Do things like pull down menus, list boxes, etc work? Can you manually control placement of screen objects on the 80x25 grid? Are there any better options for our situation?
