Hello ,

We are in the process of migrating out application from AIX 3.2.5 oracle 7.1.6 and PRO*c 1.6 to AIX 4.1 oracle 7.3.2 and PRO*c 2.1.

One problem i am facing is the of the type casting. I think this is something to do with the AIX upgrade. I get the error like
>> "my_prog.c", line 1080.33: 1506-280 (E) Function argument assignment
>> between types "const char*" and "unsigned char*" is not allowed
while compilation.

Apart from that, I would like to know, if anyone out there have done an upgrade from proc 1.6 to 2.1 and have they faced any problems. Please Post your experiences and problems. I have to take a decision whether to go from 1.6 to 2.1 or remain with 1.6.

Thanks in advance.
