Correct versions for environment?

Client has gotten different information about product compatibilities from bulletin boards than from sales. Wants to upgrade both Des2k and database, but has heard of problems. Any comments on upgrading components would be appreciated...

Server:
Data General (DG) Aviion 9500 running DG/UX (UNIX) R4.11MU02 and Oracle RDBMS 7.2.2.3.0 Network & Clients:
Des2k 1.2A w/all patches, Forms 4.5.6.5.5, Reports 2.5.4.0.8 on Novell 4.11 server, clients still on Windows for Workgroups (client will NOT consider upgrading to Win95)
