I am learning to use Oracle Power Objects V2.02 and I am using the the book "Teach Yourself Oracle Power Objects in 21 Days" by Tom Grant, published by Sams. Although this book is for Power objects V1 and has numerous typographical errors, I have been able to proceed smoothly through the first six chapters and have easily made the minor adjustments necessary to adapt the tutorial information intended for Power Objects V1 in a Windows 3.1 environment for Power Objects V2 in a Windows 95 environment.

This state of affairs has come to an end in the seventh chapter, which is about reports. There are two things that I have been unable to make work properly.

The first problem is with the HasBorder property in reports. I have turned off borders in everything I can find that has HasBorder, to no avail. I still get borders. Is this a bug, or does PO V2 has some new property that I dont know about?

The second problem is with charts. I can create a chart in a form, and it works with no problems. I put the same chart with the same property settings in a report, and nothing happens. I get a blank space in the report when I run it. Again, is this a bug, or does PO V2 do charts in reports differently than in PO V1? Received on Tue Jan 21 1997 - 00:00:00 CET
