Thanks for responding
My question wasn't about AMM, my question was about amount of memory we should allocate to Oracle. Let's say this is 9.2 on AIX 5.3, what should be setting for sga_max_size if LPAR memory is 64GB, number of connections never exceeds 200, and PGA utilization never exceeds 5 GB? 32 GB looks too low, may be 48 GB? 56 GB? AIX doesn't really need much memory, we have smaller LPARs happily running with 4 GB memory.

Yes, I would definitely set FILESYSTEMIO_OPTIONS to SETALL in order to enable direct reads and asynchronous reads.

What should I use instead of Google groups? OTN (Oracle Technology Network Community)? It gave me username "user10490308" and I was unable to change it. Received on Sun Sep 14 2014 - 13:26:26 CEST
