Pascal,
we use adautostg.pl for staging purpose.
Insert first disk and run adautostg.pl and after that it would ask again the next dvd. But if you have already uncompressed all the files [ assuming you downloaded from internet ] then no need to run this command.
Apps consumes good memory like 1 gb, If you are not getting any error it means it is doing something internally and because of high consumption of memory it is not able to refresh the screen or needs more time.
you can directly check the logfiles ....
What is configuration of your laptop ?
