The Ace program was created for database ... the Director program for Fusion Middleware. They are now merging the two programs into one with a consistent set of rules. And lets be honest here ... it would be a bit unsightly to take well earned recognition away from Tom Kyte due to a change in the program. I suspect Tom has sold more Oracle software than any salesperson the company has hired. And most certainly contributed more to the user community (DBAs and developers) than anyone else is likely to ever do.

There is an issue here that Oracle needs to resolve. But that is something they need to figure out for themselves in their own good time. In no way does it affect anyone anywhere who is not one of their employees.
