Hi,
I have a mixed environment where i have a com+ application running on Windows 2000 using an Oracle 10g database running on Solaris, data access mechansim is odbc.

The app is currently connecting to orcale via a connection string which has username annd passwors in it. Would like to take advantage of external authentication so not to have to specify passwords in connection string.

What is best mechansim to make this happend? and can external authentication support this?
Thanks for all info.
I'm not a Dba!

Regards
