        Once you've tossed out all of your OS utilities for dealing with disk devices in favor of putting all of your eggs in Oracle's basket, then how do you do targeted load testing on your storage subsystem?

        In general, do you have any clue how to validate a disk or disk subsystem before it goes into production?
