What do you mean 'targeted load testing'?

If we mean the same thing, ASM appears to [attempt to] rewrite the rules of any load testing that I can envision - potentially obsoleting the conventional disk management wisdom.

However, at the same time ASM monitors load, provides reports on load by disk, and automatically attempts to rebalance load according to need.
