Are you having problems running VMware? I used it for web servers and it is pretty sleek. There is a slight performance penalty though. IMO, Opteron is definitely a better value. You can run Solaris, Windows or Linux on it.

On SPARC systems, you can use containers and Dynamic System Domains. I have not used them myself but they are designed for server consolidation and should work well. Received on Sun Oct 23 2005 - 18:11:17 CDT
