Here it is:


Oracle 9.2.04 on Win2003 Server


I see an error in Alert Log


We are in archive log mode


Not using RMAN (agree that we should)


I am not a DBA (would like to become one eventually)
I didn't open a ticket with Oracle support



We were able to trace the error to failed NetApp drive
