Before anyone starts throwing advice at you do the following:

  1. What hardware platform and operating system?
  2. What Oracle version?
  3. How did it get this way? ... What did you do?
  4. Are the above ORA- errors from SQL*Plus or the alert log?
  5. If not the alert log what does it say?
  6. Are you running in archive log mode?
  7. Are you using RMAN (as you should)?
  8. What is your level of expertise as a DBA and if not high do you have access to an experienced DBA?
