The metrics for the GRID Control come from a very large number of objects. Among them:

v_$active_session_history

dba_advisor_journal
dba_advisor_objects
dba_advisor_parameters
dba_advisor_rationale
dba_advisor_recommendations
dba_advisor_sqlw_journal
dba_advisor_tasks
dba_advisor_usage
dba_hist_snapshot
dba_alert_history
dba_outstanding_alerts
dba_thresholds

and many many more.
