I don't know what you worry about. I asked a question about indexes, not about your personal opinion about our situation. If you never make mistakes, always use the latest version of software and are always on the right way: Congratulations!

Of course it is going to happen. You *can* query an indexed column even if the table has gone (preconditioned that you didn't issue a drop table ...). But of course you know that.
