It wasn't directed at you. There have been too many posters here who ran some edition of Oracle on NT or Win2k, and then have upgraded to W2k, or XP, without even verifying Oracle certifies their version against the new O/S. There has been NT4 sp3 coming with Winsock2, incompatible with Winsock1, making all off Sqlnet useless, and Oracle was forced to patch their software.
