I'm sorry to hear that.

Your obvious conclusion is accurate - I'm behind this bloody firewall and only rarely get out.

True, but don't try and dual boot it with Windows XP. There's a bug in the installer/disk partitioner which screws an XP partition details in such a way as to make XP unbootable (shame) in a manner similar to that in which Bill Gates had code in Windsows 3.x to cause it to 'error' if it detected DrDOS instead of MSDOS.

It's easily fixed and doesn't trash the XP data, only the partition table.

On the other hand, I read that RHEL is freely downloadable from redhat.com, but I couldn't find it anywhere. You obviously don't get support. The article I read was an interview with some head honcho over at Red Hat, so it should be true !
