Well, I start the project tomorrow, and if it is available tomorrow, I use it, if not, I'm not a big fan of adding a major version upgrade in the middle of a project, even a project that is amenable to the latest and greatest. I expect the W2K version won't be the first out the gate, anyways. Still wish I had some solid evidence Linux is better (although I faithfully believe it is).

I was thinking more of 2,3,4,5,6 and some part of 7, but they'll do.

Good rant, but I would think it is silly to ask for a Beta as production is about to be released?

I think Oracle at best blundered in that it gave people the feeling they are outsiders with this whole cloistered beta thing. I'm not sure that it could have been avoided, given the organizational changes they must have made to avoid the Real Soon Now delay like with 8.0. On the other hand, it's been how long for 10?

I'll have FUD, FUD, FUD, FUD, FUD, FUD, FUD and eggs.
