I completely agree with you but what's your point. Mladen didn't even take the time to send an email to Oracle to inquire about how one becomes a Beta tester. He seems to think that somewhere deep in some database inside Oracle's corporate headquarters there is a table with the names of every user, developer, and DBA associated through a 1:M relationship with their area of expertise, hardware, operating system, and amount of spare time available: It doesn't exist. Oracle knows who is licensed ... not who their employees are.
Oracle does cater to its clients. Anytime you don't believe that feel free to go to wwww.ibm.com, www.microsoft.com, or www.sybase.com and download a free copy of their equivalent to Oracle's Enterprise Edition, Internet Developer Suite, and Internet Application Server.
I have a copy of JDeveloper 10g I downloaded from otn.oracle.com. Can you similarly get yourself a free copy of .NET? Catering does not mean bending over and begging for bankruptcy.
