I will go after it right now.

I found out the space is definitely not the problem. When I tried "exec statspack.snap" again today, the session got hung during an insert into stats$sysstat from a system view (something like X_$KU????? (don't remember, I am not at office now).

I am so angry not to be able to use statspack here. I need to measure the effect of my tuning actions. For example, today I changed a kernel parameter (on the fly) which usually has a default value that effectively throttles I/O (ufs_HW), but I have no proof that anything runs faster now.

The bug or the solution? :-)

Thanks
