Hi Sybrand,

when cloning a database you need to shut down the original before strting up the clone otherwise you get an error message - I've had this a few times when cloning and I forgot to keep the original closed. (Obviously, the clone and original have to be on the same server !)

Start the clone.
Close the clone.
Start the original.
Start the clone.

Works for me.

Cheers,
Norm.

Your post is contradictory. If you clone database A to get database B, database A doesn't change, does it.?

So would there be any reason for the unaffected database A not to open. Received on Wed Aug 13 2003 - 06:57:20 CDT
