Hi GC,

Sounds like the Intermedia text option is not installed.

With an 8.1.7 base install and no patches you can just fire up the installer and select intermedia for installation.

BUT If you have already patched your base 8.1.7 install - eg to 8.1.7.4 then
You'll need to reinstall the oracle sw making sure Intermedia option is selected in the universal installer. Finally reapply any patches again.

I'm pretty sure the installation docs say this is the only way to add new product options after the oracle software tree is patched.
