I am sorry..I forgot to add the values from v$tempstat after doing which the total sum from v$filestat and v$tempstat exceeeds the physical reads of v$sysstat by some lacs, which may be attributed to the fact that one physical read in v$sysstat comprises many block reads as posted earlier. Thanks for your answers....
