Hi

300000 Isn't an error. V_$sgastat give always 300000 of free memory. My Database is not running with big objects. problem is not here.... Info: i've pinned many packages (STANDARD, DBMS_SQL, DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO) ...

I want to do this:
large_pool_size=300000 (I think it's ok) shared_pool_size=81920000 (I think it's ok) hash_multiblock_io_count=8 (??) # (i doubt now) db_block_lru_latches=4 (??) #because 4 processors, it's correct optimizer_index_caching=99 (I think it's ok)

for information
optimizer_index_caching=50 # it's actual value, i think it's not very good in 8.1.7
up to 99
optimizer_index_cost_adj=25 # it's actual value, i think it's not very good in 8.1.7
no change for the moment

Do you know how to calculate stripe length ? Bay one!
disk1(10Go) disk 2(40Go) disk 3(20Go) Total capacity = 70 Go

Bay two in hard mirror
disk1(10Go) disk 2(40Go) disk 3(20Go) Total capacity = 70 Go

in this sample it's 3 ?

for 8 disk ... it's 8 ?

Bests regards and thanks
