Question Regarding Hot Backups

I have a hotbackup script that queries the database for existing tablespaces, places them in backup mode, copies the datafiles to another disk group, and then places the tablespaces out of backup mode. It takes about 60 minutes to copy all datafiles. My question is, when do I copy the archive logs, before or after I copy of the datafiles?

Right now I do an 'alter system archive log current;' and then copy the archive logs to another disk group.

Thx,
Chuck
