Anyone use Oracle Simulators (Technology-Based Training CD-ROM)?

We're considering the purchase of the Oracle 8i Simulator Library (Technology-Based Training CD-ROM) from Oracle Education. It includes Database Administration Packs 1-3, Backup & Recovery Pack 1, Performance Tuning Pack 1, and Network Administration Pack 1.

The Simulators apparently throw different "real world" scenarios at you that you as a DBA need to resolve. It's self-contained (i.e. it doesn't run against a real database). The cost for the library is $3,600 according to Oracle Education's web site and includes a perpetual license for 1-5 users.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Is it effective/challenging? Is it a decent training tool? Would it help with DBA certification preparation? Is it worth the money?

Thanks in advance for any feedback,
