Christine;

You have lost nothing...

You may want to re-run the follwing two scripts as SYS..

$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/utlconst.sql

$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/utlrp.sql

Then bounce the instance ..

Also, if you have JVM installed, you may want to make sure

all of your JAVA objects are RESOLVED..
