Dunno about Unix but I can accomplish the copy scenario within minutes on OpenVMS and IT WILL WORK. Just that.

Of course you forget about it completely if you're talking Windoze as there are so many hidden things and stuff in the registry. It's IMPOSSIBLE on Windows. Again, I don't know about Unix because I don't know what's involved when you install software there.
