snapshot replication

Hi

I found a job that looks like below at master site:

dbms_repcat.do_deferred_repcat_admin(....)

And there is also a job which is doing the snapshot refresh at snapshot site.
My question is, what is that procedure above supposed to be doing? And should I stop this job together with the dbms_refresh job when I want to stop replication temporarily?
