As I said, I was at home when I replied to this, and could not access the system at work. I have the following files in /oracle_home/app/oracle/admin/pwhse/pfile:

configpwhse.ora initpwhse.ora initpwhse_0.ora

The name of the instance is pwhse, and both initpwhse.ora and initpwhse_0.ora contain the line:

ifile = /oracle_home/app/oracle/admin/pwhse/pfile/configpwhse.ora

Si, I believe that teh init file is initpwhse.ora which "includes" the contents of configpwhse.ora, correct? Received on Mon May 14 2001 - 09:54:17 CDT
