And here is a perfect example, boys and girls, of why I always strongly recommend "DBA"s take the ORACLE education courses before they become DBAs. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Damn right! With people like Howard there, I know that:

1- Education *LISTENS*.
2- Education *TEACHES*.

As I pointed out in an earlier message, this is more a student perception problem than anything else. Somehow it's not being carried through that while there are very good reasons for rules of thumb, they're just that: rules of thumb. Not gospel. I know you'll look into this and I am really glad ORACLE has done the right thing and taken you back. It would be a real loss if you were gone. And I say this without the slightest "pressure" being applied to me.

Hang in there Howard, you're doing an excellent job. We need more people like you down under.
