Wouldn't it be possible to mount or share a drive on Machine A from Machine B and supply write permissions to a user on Machine B so that that user can write to the Machine A shared disk? Isn't this what file servers are for? On Unix, on the other hand, one can NFS-mount a file system on another machine and write files to it. Perhaps RMAN is the wrong choice?
