Hi,

I have Oracle 8.0.5 mounted to my Solaris system from a file server. It is a read-only NFS mount. I would like to create a DB on my local system. Can I do this or do I need read-write access to $ORACLE_HOME?

I don't have the complete set of documentation for Oracle, so if there is a specific manual I should look in or any on-line documention that explains this, that would be great.

Thanks,
