Somewhere in the documentation for the "glibcpatch", it states that you need "make" in your path, and if you don't have it, you might need to create a symbolic link called "make" which links to "gmake" for it to work.

I got 8.0.5 to install and run under RedHat 6.0, but haven't tried 6.1.
