Sure it will work. Just copy your tnsnames.ora, listener.ora, and sqlnet.ora files over to your new $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin directory.

Alternatively, you could set TNS_ADMIN to point to the old $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin directory.
