Hello,

installing Orcle8i is definitely no easy task for linux newbies. But I have to state that I did my master thesis with 8.0.5 on linux and as far as programming is concerned I like the linux system better than those NT stuff. If you don't need a fancy interface (hey, XEmacs _is_ a fancy interface :-), try the linux version!
