The JRE is up and running.

But we already had problems with the JRE: As we tried to run the ./runInstaller ,I got a fault like this: Initializing Java Virtual Machine from /usr/local/jre/bin/jre. Please wait ...
Error in CreateOUIProcess(): - 1
: Permission denied

We found the problem already:
The variable JRE_location in oracle8i/install/oraparam.ini wasen't correct. It was something like this /usr/local/jre/bin/jre and the location of JRE is /home/oracle8i/jre116_v5.
So we changed it.

Now I think we have the same kind of problem but maybe not solveable because we don't have any source of the runInstaller.

Can anyone help me ??
