There was 22 pg white paper on Oracle Website "Concurrency Control, Transaction Isolation and Serializability in SQL92 and Oracle7", July 95, Part No.A33745 discussing these isuues in great detail, while documentation is more like a summary. Unfortunately, I cannot locate it there any more:-(.
