Howard,

I came across a similar problem last year with Oracle 7.3.4 on NT using Access 2.0. My recollection is hazy, but essentially, after talking to Oracle (we were using Oracle's ODBC driver), I was told that we needed to upgrade the driver version.

When Access accessed tables on the db, the db would instantly crash.

Again, sorry for the vague recollection, but essentially, in our case, the ODBC driver caused the db to crash.

Hope this helps out somewhat.
