Error on opening trace file

Hi gurus,

When I login as oracle and set trace level to admin in listener.ora and then start oracle listener, I get the error message :

"NL-00512: Error opening Oracle trace support file
/opt/app/oracle/product/734/network/trace/listener.trc".

I do a "ll /opt/app/oracle/product/734/network/trace/listener.trc" and the output is:

-rwxrwxrwx 1 oracle dba 1353 Feb 12 18:42
/opt/app/oracle/product/734/network/trace/listener.trc

If I turn off trace, everything is ok.

It's an oracle7.3.4 on hpux10.20.

Any ideas?
