I've had a strange experience with 8.04 and sp4. I have an external proc that
I use to send email from stored procs. It worked fine on sp3. After sp4 went
in, when invoked from TOAD or sql-worksheet it generates an rpc error every
other time (?) it's called for that single client. If invoked via sql*plus or
a Powerbuilder developed datawindow it runs without problem. I'm not making
this up, and I'm not wrong - I experimented with it for most of a day trying to
figure out what had happened before my systems guy mentioned that he had put on
sp4 the day before.....
