A hot backup is in-consistent.

This means that -- at a minimum -- you need all the redo that was generated durring the backup. So the tactic is to do a log switch after the datafiles backup (which gets the latest log archived) and then backup all the archived logs.

But remember, if you crash several days after the backup, you will need all the archive logs since the start of the backup until now as well as the current log file.
