ctxsrv / oracle processes

Oracle 7,3.4 running on X86 Solaris 2.6:

When we start ctxsrv daemons to serve ConText requests, each daemon starts an oracle client process. That client process doesn't seem to idle very well. It does once-per-second polling, trades a small message with the ctx daemon, and does a lot of reading from ... tablespace files? I'm not sure what it's reading, but it does a lot.

Do other people see this behavior?
